Book 1 ended with Cole being arrested for murder, book two starts with Hailey worrying over him being arrested, he has Hailey as an alibi but he wants to keep Hailey away from the bad stuff he works with so he doesn't use her as an alibi and as he isn't the murderer there is proof (i assumed) that he wasn't detained or charged. the book is mainly Cole and Hailey falling into a kind of routine and falling in love. I can't help but feel this and the others in the trilogy could have been put into one book as i finished this in less than an hour and same with book one. Yes this ends on a massive cliffy which is a thing for me i hate them but the writer is very good and i will buy book three i just would rather it was in one book rather than a series
