Roxy is a fighter, she is strong and independent. She knows exactly what she wants and is not afraid to go after it, especially when it comes to men. Roxy thinks she has men figured out, that is until she meets Kade. He storms into her life like a knight on a white horse to save her. He makes her question everything she ever thought she knew about life, men and herself.
With a past that keeps holding her back will Kade be able to break down her walls? Will he be able to prove to Roxy that everything she thinks she knows about men is wrong, or will he prove her right?
Roxy is a slutty drug user and Kade is a shy surfer dude, oil and water don’t mix in my opinion. For me this book didn't really work, to start off the book is gooey/ soppy/ cheesy thank god that ends because i really wouldn't have been able to cope. This book has some amazing detailed descriptions so the author definitely got that right. There was some issues with dialogue for instance with some texting the way it was laid out on the page you couldn't see who was texting. I saw wrong words used a couple of times and yes the book picked up by the time i was halfway through but i still wasn't impressed.
The book starts with Roxy going out and meeting a sexy shy surfer dude who she thinks is hot, Roxy has had so many messed up relationships that she has her walls up and secured but she wants to be with sweet Kade even when her self destruct button presses itself and Kade forgives her time and time again.
Just as Kade gives Roxy hope for a future Kade turns angry with his family problems and it changes him, gone is the sexy sweet guy.
