**REVIEW by ALEX ** TELL ME SOMETHING by AUBREY BONDURANT

The sexual tension is palpable; the erotic path they’re on is inevitable.

Haylee Holloway has experienced more grief than a twenty-two year old should have to endure. When she moves to LA for a fresh start and takes a job as an assistant for an advertising company the last thing she expects is to have to step in last minute during a photo shoot as the model.
Her bikini line and weight are suddenly open topics of discussion, and a client’s million dollar campaign is hanging in the balance. To cap it off, the multi-millionaire, gorgeous owner of the company shows up and takes charge.

Josh Singer, the owner of Gamble Advertising is private, intense, and hard to read. His voice is sexy, his eyes are smoldering and when he learns of Haylee’s goal to save money for law school, he makes her an offer she can’t refuse:
To move to New York City and work for him directly as his assistant.

Haylee’s dilemma: how does she travel the world with a gorgeous boss whose voice alone conjures up a romantic fantasy and not completely make a fool of herself?
Frustrated with Josh’s mixed signals, Haylee finally puts it all on the line. Blurring both their professional and personal lives can they keep things temporary as planned or will they both realize some things weren’t meant to end?

This book has flavors of romantic comedy, chick lit and a true contemporary romance novel all in one. Told in first person, it's about finding romance where you least expect it
with the belief that humor, self-discovery, and love really can conquer anything.

Full Length Standalone book with no cliffhanger. First book of the “Something Series”
Recommended for mature readers due to situations of language, and sexual content

I need to start my review by hanging my head in shame and apologise for not reading Tell Me Something sooner. You know who you are, just know while your sat with you smug face i'm rolling my eyes and sticking my tongue out.

Ive had this on my kindle for I don't know how long and it dropped further and further down my list. If you have it already i'd strongly advise you to bump it up your list. If your debating whether or not to buy, let your one click finger do what it does best and buy, buy, buy.

If you haven't already gathered already, I loved this book. Although I had a face plant my kindle mount early on as i felt Haylee and Josh's characters came across as very Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey esque. I don't know if the author felt that was what the readers wanted, but that very slight portion near the start didn't feel true to me. the perception i'd built up didn't match up what i was reading.

To me Haylee albeit quietish is funny, intelligent, scared or slightly wary, she knows she's not perfect, she is who she is and knows what she wants, she carries herself with a confidence thats not in your face, she is real! but she came across as a wallflower trying to be brazen for this very few pages before i felt her true character came through.

Tell Me Something pulled me in right at the beginning, apart from the slight in my opinion blip. I was soon laughing, then sobbing (in the bath) to happy smiley face at the end, and honestly disappointed the book had come to an end. I seriously wanted more from Haylee and Josh they have so much more to give.....

id give a very solid 4*'s and definitely put Audrey Bondurant on my auto buy list.

**REVIEW by ALEX** SWEET SEDUCTION 3 BY J DANIELS

From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, J. Daniels. Author's Note: Sweet Obsession can be read as a standalone novel. Everyone knows Brooke Wicks loves to have a good time. She’s not interested in getting serious, settling down, or limiting herself to one man. So when she meets the sexy, irresistible Mason King, she sees another opportunity to let loose and go wild. But the gorgeous Aussie isn’t interested in just a quick fling with Brooke, and if she wants to get into his bed, she’s going to have to do it on his terms. Loving fast and hard has always been Mason’s philosophy. He doesn’t want a meaningless connection, he wants it all, and he wants it with Brooke. When she makes her one desire known—to hit it and quit it—Mason wages a plan to ensure Brooke keeps coming back for more. Or so he hopes. Getting her attention was the easy part. Keeping it might be damn near impossible. Sweet Obsession is where the Sweet Addiction series meets the Alabama Summer series.

Brooke Wicks doesnt do relationships, she does sex, lots and lots of sex. She lives by the motto "Hit it then quit it" and this has served her well until Mr "I don't want meaningless sex" opens a Hot Yoga Studio across the street from the Bakery where she works.

Mason King loves hard and fast, he realises very early on what Brooke wants and plans to change her mind and her motto. He wants her and he's willing to put the time and effort in till Broooke realises she wants it too. Mason has the patience of a saint, and watching Brooke frustrated and confused is so funny to read. Her Halleujah moment is hilarious when she has to drink tequila straight from the bottle before she can confront Mason, about what he's done to her. Made her fall in love. How Dare He!!

I thought Brooke's character was brilliant in Sweet Obsession 1&2 and her own brand of crazy, she's sweet and funny and definitely insecure she deserved her own book. It definitely can be read as a standalone, although past characters obviously are featured in Sweet Obsession 3, you will not be confused where they fit into Brooke's life.

4* read funny and light read that may also frustrate and break your heart...

“Can I ask you a question?” she says as she leans back in the seat.

I take her free hand and entwine it with mine. Placing both of our hands in my lap, I nod.

“You can ask me anything.”

She takes a deep breath as if she is suddenly nervous. “How do you do it? How do you love me knowing everything you do?”

She still doesn’t get it.

I stare at her for a moment before taking her glass out of her hand. I place both glasses in the little slots that were made for them and turn to her. “Come here,” I whisper. She slides toward me and I pull her onto my lap so she is straddling me. I wrap my arms around her waist and breathe her in for a moment. “What makes you love your parents, Ned?” I ask calmly. She looks puzzled and shakes her head.

“I don’t know,” she says shrugging her shoulders. “It comes naturally, I don’t have a reason … I just love them, I always have I guess.”

“That’s exactly the way I feel about you. I can’t explain the reason that I love you. It’s like asking me why I breathe … I do it to survive.”

She’s silent. Then she nods her head.

“I get it,” she whispers. “I just needed to know if you felt it too or whether I was going crazy.”

“You’re definitely going crazy, you’re just not going crazy by yourself,” I chuckle. She laughs.

“Well, misery loves company so why shouldn’t crazy,” she teases.

“Exactly.”

“Doesn’t it scare you?” she asks seriously.

“What?”

“Knowing it’s all going to come to an end,” she says sadly.

“It terrifies me,” I say honestly. “I hate that I never found you sooner but I’d hate it if I never found you at all.”

“Yeah,” she breathes.

“Are you scared?” I ask.

“Yes, not of dying but of knowing that I’ll never feel anything like this again.”

“That’s ridiculous,” I scoff.

“What?” she asks in confusion.

“Babe, do you honestly think that when I get to heaven I’m not coming to find you — well after I thank the big guy for letting me in of course. But after that, your ass better be prepared to spend an eternity with me because if I’m going to live forever then I’m going to spend every day of it seeing that smile.”

She kisses me. I love it when she kisses me first. I am so in love I should have my balls cut off.

Upon starting this book I was extremely sceptical of the storyline. It just seemed somewhat cliched and very unrealistic, however, I was categorically mistaken! I absolutely loved this book! From the get go I fell in love with Brennan Cole, he is an extremely loveable character which only seems to grow throughout the book. From his references to her favourite panties as "butt floss" to his nicknames for her ex's the characterisation used just draws you further into the narrative and engages you completely into the plot. I sometimes struggle to relate to the female leads in romance novels because they always seem so cliched and waif like, however, Neddie Waters breaks these stereotypes completely she is depicted as a strong confident wealthy woman who knows exactly what she wants from her life. This story completely enthralled me from start to finish, with tears in my eyes as I read the last few chapters I can say, with certain clarity, this book will remain in my memories for a long time. I can't actually explain just how difficult it is for me to become this engaged in a romance novel, but this one seems to so successfully play on the emotional aspects of falling in love alongside the prospect of losing that love far too unfairly. Another aspect created perfectly by the author is the use of humour within the spoken and inner dialogue that had me laughing along with the characters. All in all a fabulous read depicting just how when we least expect it and really don't want it, love creeps up and takes us completely by surprise. I would highly recommend, 4.5/5!

**REVIEW BY MRSKEBAB** WHEN SHE WAS BAD by TAMMY COHEN

'A fresh, clever psychological thriller with toxic characters you'll love to hate' CLARE MACKINTOSH
'Takes the ordinary and twists it until the sense of danger is utterly overwhelming. Tammy Cohen is rapidly becoming one of my favourite authors' EMMA KAVANAGH

One of the Daily Mail's BIGGEST SELLING bookclub authors

YOU SEE THE PEOPLE YOU WORK WITH EVERY DAY.
BUT WHAT CAN'T YOU SEE?
Amira, Sarah, Paula, Ewan and Charlie have worked together for years - they know how each one likes their coffee, whose love life is a mess, whose children keep them up at night. But their comfortable routine life is suddenly shattered when an aggressive new boss walks in ....
Now, there's something chilling in the air.
Who secretly hates everyone?
Who is tortured by their past?
Who is capable of murder?

Have i mentioned that I love Tammy Cohens books ? she is a genius in her genre. I  started  first with first one missing and I instantly bought the paper back and will keep an eye out for signing event to meet her and get her signature on my book.  Like all good mystery/ suspense books I was completely confused for a couple of chapters and then I started to imagine theories about who did it and what it was they did. instantly I took a liking or disliking to certain characters.

Sarah - she is a little bit of a mess at the point the book is at, struggling with her job and two little children she really could do with someone on her side.

Ewan - well he is a bit of a charmer and he flirts with anyone of the opposite sex. Has a thing for the new boss.

Gill- loses her job at the beginning and we don't see much of her but certainly feel for the woman.

Anne - such an interesting Character and she impressed me by not being swayed in her opinion.

Paula- again she needs someone on her side, she isn't a lazy person just a little set in her ways and i think fate and people shit on her a bit.

Amira - i didn't gel with this character at all which was a bit sad. she seemed more than a little self centred.

Charlie- seems like a sweet guy but so alone. he would make some man a wonderful partner but i think he has a tendency to choose the wrong ones.

Chloe- such a sweet girl who wants to please everyone but has such a crush on Ewan that she accepts his offer of a one night stand but still wants more even tho she was told it would not be more. I think she may have a limit to how nice she can be.

Rachel - comes across as a bitch but sometimes i wonder if thats a facade of being the new boss and starting as she means to go on. OR maybe she is just a bitch.

A great book that will have you guessing for hours.

**REVIEW BY MRSKEBAB** BUILT BY JAY CROWNOVER

The first in the new SAINTS OF DENVER series from NYT bestselling author of the MARKED MEN series, Jay Crownover

Sometimes you have to tear everything down to build something new…

Sayer Cole is frozen inside. At least, that’s what it’s felt like for as long as she can remember. She’s yet to let anyone past her icy exterior – and the one guy she thinks might melt her heart couldn’t possibly be interested in someone so uptight.

Rough, hard and hot-as-hell, Zeb Fuller has rebuilt his life and his construction business since protecting his family sent him to jail all those years ago. His elegant client, Sayer, makes him feel like a Neanderthal in denim, but despite the many hints that he’s been dropping to get to know her better, she seems oblivious to his charms.

Just as things finally start to heat up, Zeb’s past comes back to haunt him and he needs Sayer’s professional help to right a wrong and to save more than himself. As these opposites dig in for the fight of their lives, fire and ice collide in an unstoppable explosion of steam…

A perfectly pleasant read. this is my first Jay Crossover book and will not be my last. It follows the usual pattern of boy meets girl and they have issues and don't really get together title end, it is a little predictable to be fair but it was a pleasant read.

Sayer is a little emotionally held back, she doesn't  give herself over and believes she isn't worthy of love  which of course she is but her father had drilled into her that she wasn't good enough.

Zeb well isn't he just a big bundle of sex, there is not one thing i found i didn't like about him and i would like him my bed.

I loved the fact that Zeb went straight to sayer when he needed Legal advice and she was torn between helping Zeb and falling for him.

 4 * he’s such a dick stars from me :)

I stepped out of my dark little comfort zone to read this one and I was very pleasantly surprised. We all know I DO NOT DO SPOILERS! with that in mind I will not be going into the plot twist and cluster-fuck that is thrown at the heroine in the story.

Here is what I will say, I was sucked into their drama filled world and couldn’t help turning the pages. Kadence however for me was way to easy on Caleb (who falls into unforgivable asshole territory for me) I would never have forgiven him.  I liked the subtle humour, angst and passion that is felt because it is delivered in truly stunning writing. This is just the sort of read I enjoy when taking a break from the dark side. Fun, furiously filled with all the right stuff - you know what I mean.
Ms. Bester has certainly got my attention and I have added her books to my TBR - are all your leading men such assholes? because I sort of love assholes.

“Keep the engine running,” I say. “If I’m not out in five minutes, leave.”

Poe nods her head, but doesn’t argue.

When the nine o’clock hour comes, both she and I watch the clock on the dashboard turn to one minute after.

“You’ll need to keep your mask on, Poesy. Make sure none of your hair is showing,” I say. “Keep your head down the entire time.”

“Okay,” she answers in a small voice.

“If you see cops—”

“I know what to do, Lowen. I know you want me to leave you.” She sighs. “But I don’t know if I can.”

Despite our circumstances, I smirk. “Hopefully you won’t have to.”

At nine thirty, Poe and I switch seats, and she gets behind the wheel while I load the pistol. With hands that shake uncontrollably, I place the ski mask over my head but don’t pull it down my face. I help Poesy with hers, tucking in every stray strand of hair so they remain unseen.

She grabs my wrist, and our eyes meet. I see fear combined with love and loyalty in her stare.

I kiss her knuckles and promise with the chance of lying, “We’re going to be okay.”

Unlike when we drove into the garage, the streets are alive and filled with a variety of automobiles, and dirty sidewalks carry several pedestrians. The forty-second drive to the bank feels like forty years. Thick blood courses through my veins, and I feel it flow through arteries and vessels, nourishing muscle and bone. My head echoes with the thump, thump, thump of my hard heartbeat. Every breath is shallower than the one before it.

“Pull down your mask,” I say, but my voice sounds foreign and feels a million miles away.

As Poe drives into California Credit Union’s parking lot, I grip the cold steel in my hand.

The edges of my vision blur; I’m blinded by adrenaline.

My skin crawls like I’m covered in spiders; I’m delirious with edginess.

“Your ski mask,” Poesy shrieks. “Cover your fucking face, Lowen.”

My girl reaches over and pulls it down for me. The car stops to a screeching halt, and reality crashes into me in a brutal rush, stripping me of air and voice.

“If we’re in this, you need to go,” Poesy says in a calm but stern tone, hidden behind her black mask.

There’s peace in her eyes.

There’s strength in the girl who stayed with me when I was locked up.

The one who’s remained by my side, believing and starving all at the same time.

With the gun in my hand and determination in my heart, I leave Poesy in the car and push open the glass double doors into the bank.

As I step foot onto the burgundy carpet, I yell, “Everyone down on the fucking floor!”

This book is certainly a rollercoaster and very well written but i felt it lacking the dramatics needed for this story. I felt low wouldn't really let her go along with him as he adored her. Poesy apparently turned into a hardened criminal from a pure angel. It did flow well though like said it was very well written i just felt  it lacked in certain areas. I felt the gaps in the story were annoying and didn't help my irritation.  i felt that poesy had resentment for low but it disappeared at times. I really didn't connect to the character’s. I  did enjoy reading this I'm just pointing out my issues as I'm not following the hype with this book. The ending felt very thelma and louise to me.
