I started this after reading one of my favorite books so I wasn’t really ready to read another book to be fair you could say I had a serious book hangover. After reading the first chapter I wanted to give up I just couldn’t find my mojo but I continued and I must admit the first couple chapters I didn’t really get into the book and no matter how many times I read Zin was black I still pictured her as a red head (think Julia Roberts in pretty woman but much curvier) and I pictured Ray as black (think postman from eastenders)

By the 3^rd / 4^th chapter I was hooked and wanted to send Hammond down almost as much as Zin. To be honest I would have liked more as I feel it was incomplete but obviously that’s to pave the way for another book.

This book was a lovely read I couldn’t put it down once I got past the beginning I really believed in Ray as a character and I wanted to shake Zin for her self doubt but all in all it was a good story And no spelling mistakes which is a big issue for me, and very well written.

A review of A Beautiful Star by Lillianna Anderson 4****

 I was gifted this book in return for an honest review and it was a great read.

Even more so, she wasn’t expecting to spend the night with one of Australia’s hottest young actors, Jonathan Masters. She also wasn’t expecting to save his life.

And that’s just the beginning.

From there, these two must find a way live with the past and look to the future – no matter what the personal cost.

I’m a sucker for a good easy feel good romance and a beautiful star is just that. I hadn’t heard of the author nor the books until I was gifted this. I must say when I get time I would like to catch up with books 1-4 however I didn’t know it was part of a series until the end so can be read as a stand alone novel.

The book starts two years ago in a club, Sandra and her friend Lisa running into two men from Lisa’s past but more confusion is the fact they don’t call her Lisa. One of the men is Jonathon Masters who by all accounts is a famous actor who has a bad rep with the ladies. There is an obvious spark between Jonathon and Sandra but she doesn’t date “famous” men after a bad experience when she was younger. Lisa disappears with Sandra’s help which gets her in the papers as Jonathon’s latest lady when in fact she is trying to start a relationship with the hot Brad, unfortunately there is no spark there. The rest of the story is how true love fights its way through the obstacles that life throws in its path for Sandra and Jonathon and sadly one of the obstacles is Sandra’s dad’s death.

Again I loved this story and finished it in a day as I couldn’t put it down. Do yourselves a favor ladies and get your one click finger ready.

A Review of Exposure by Jennifer and Morgan Locklear. 4****

Jennifer Locklear gave me this book in return for honest review and I can honestly say I adored it. I love the fact that husband and wife wrote this, I hope they had fun whilst writing.

The story starts with Michelle reflecting on her unhappy marriage after an unexpected afternoon rendezvous with her husband Kyle. Michelle comes across as lovely and genuine throughout the whole book and Kyle is just vile and rude the whole way through. Shaunna quickly became my favorite character and her romance with David grabbed me instantly. The book is well-written and fun to read. The main characters are Hollywood actors / film production / publicists so gives you an idea of cut throat Hollywood games. During the course of the book they are filming a movie based in space and this is where Kyle shows his true colours. Also Gus Shaunna’s dad plays a great role and he became my crush in this book.

The book has a nice mix of drama / humor /sex to make it fun to read. Its what I call a nice easy read makes you feel good to read it.

I was given this book to review from the author in return for an honest review. I adored the description and thought it would be my kind of book. I enjoyed the beginning that was quite good and promising. The book as a whole was so slow I found myself struggling to keep my concentration. The supernatural/ paranormal /fantasy didn’t really start until over 50% of the book and some explanations were over detailed some weren’t described at all making you wonder if you had missed something. Sulwen was a great character but instant love and rushing off to Scotland with a guy you just met who could be a serial killer was a bit of a put off to me, Logan just seemed unreal which I suppose was meant to be but just didn’t hit me as great. I have a crush on Duncan what can I say suave classy older guys just do it for me.

The book has oodles of promise and I think the writer will improve greatly the more she writes.
